Lannas J. Barfield

Lannas has dedicated the past 20 years to helping clients navigate complex legal issues through attentive service and clear communication. His areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, securities, business structuring, corporate governance, trusts and estates, and business succession planning.

Before joining Freeman Lovell, Lannas practiced corporate securities and mergers and acquisitions law at major international law firms. He also served as General Counsel for a successful technology startup, led his own law firm, and had clerkships with the Attorney General of Virginia and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Lannas grew up on his family’s farm in northern Texas and currently resides in Park City, Utah, with his wife and three daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys snowboarding, trail running, mountain biking, and playing tennis.

Lannas is licensed to practice law in both Utah and Texas.
