Overview

Jeff Teichert brings more than 25 years of litigation experience in business, real estate, land use, and constitutional law. He has a strong background in litigation, negotiation, mediation, and appellate work across multiple states, federal courts, and administrative tribunals. Jeff has represented business clients in high-stakes disputes involving takings claims, contracts,

nondisclosure issues, regulatory compliance, and land use matters. He has also served as outside general counsel to small and mid-sized companies.


Clients value Jeff for his persuasive written advocacy, skillful negotiation, creative problem-solving, and clear, strategic legal analysis.


Jeff has published extensively in legal and policy journals, including the Utah Bar Journal, BYU Journal of Public Law, and Gonzaga Journal of International Law. He has been an invited

speaker on topics such as administrative law reform, constitutional theory, and the relationship between law and culture. Recognized as a thought leader, Jeff often writes and speaks on the limits of administrative power and the protection of property rights.


Notable achievements include:

  • Authoring amicus briefs in two landmark U.S. Supreme Court cases
  • Representing the Governor and Lieutenant Governor in high profile constitutional law matters
  • Serving as judicial law clerk to the High Court of American Samoa, where he assisted in drafting approximately 100 published judicial opinions 
  • Acting as outside general counsel to small and mid-sized companies, advising on contracts, trademarks, employment, risk management, and regulatory compliance
  • Participating in a 2017 business delegation to China
